Modern Auschwitz

Estonian concentration camp in Harku, near the capital Tallinn, photographed by the Finnish journalist Leena Hietanen on December 18th 2008. Estonia still keeps non-wanted Russian individuals in this concentration camp, being one of the notorious examples of Estonian apartheid policy. Traditionally Harku served also as a death camp site during the Nazi regime in Estonia in 1941-1944 when Estonians murdered majority of their Jews in addition to political prisoners.
